Pushing the boundaries in guitar production, the Superslim is probably the slimmest-body full-size guitar model you will find, especially with a built-in pre-amp and digital processing unit. A unique cutaway in the body allows players to reach the higher notes located nearer the sound-hole end of the neck.

How does it sound?

Despite the slim body depth at 6.2cm, acoustically - the sound from this guitar is excellent. The upper and lower bouts are around the same width as a dreadnought so you still get plenty of volume.

'The electro element'

Being an 'electro-acoustic', it can be easily plugged into an amplifier with a standard ¼" jack lead. The piezoelectric pick-up (under bridge saddle) is very responsive and produces excellent output through an amp. The pre-amp includes an equalizer too - you can alter the presence, bass, middle and treble at the flick of the sliders - so can achieve a sound that is tailored to your requirements. There is also an independent volume dial on the unit which will help to balance the output between guitar and amplifier. All very simple to use!

The pre-amp unit requires power from a 9v battery (if you are going to play through an amplifier) and 1 battery should provide hours upon hours of use but also has 'low battery indicator checker' feature.

Built-in Digital Tuner

A very popular feature included on the GS-4TN is the digital tuner which, at the touch of a button, is displayed on the mini backlit LCD screen. The tuner has two modes: 'Manual' and 'Auto':
Manual allows the player to tune a string to any note (chromatically) and 'Auto' mode will automatically detect each string pitch when you tune (this is the recommended setting for beginners).
