With a design that focuses on a traditional full-bodied guitar shape but with the unique Lindo features and styling, this steel-strung electro-acoustic guitar really stands out from the crowd!
Pick-up/Pre-Amp/Tuner
Just like our other electro acoustic guitars, you can play this guitar acoustically or plug into an amplifier via the standard jack plug socket and create your own personal sound using the 4-band pre-amp/EQ dials. This guitar also features an XLR connector (more details below).
The pick-up is cleverly hidden under the bridge saddle and is known as a piezoelectric pick-up (for any newbies out there!). When you pluck a string, the vibrations are transferred through the saddle and received by the pick-up; which is then processed by the pre-amp before sending the signal to the amplifier via the guitar lead. It’s very effective and has the benefit of not picking up any magnetic fields such as mains hum or feedback.
Tuner: With the built-in tuner displayed on the LCD screen in the pre-amp unit, you can tune your guitar quickly and accurately without the need for an external device. The tuner is in automatic mode as default but if you wish to select each note as you tune. their is a 'note' button also.
EQ
This particular pre-amp/EQ unit has a volume control, presence, treble, middle and bass - Simple but effective! The unit is 'active' which means it requires a 9 volt battery to be operative when connected to an amplifier.
XLR
As well as having the standard jack connector, this guitar is also equipped withan XLR unit to be able to connect to external recording or PA equipment.
SOUND & CONSTRUCTION
As these guitars are 41 inches in length and with full upper and lower bouts, its acoustic values are extremely good; producing a very bright well rounded sound with plenty of low end.
As a guitar maker, we feel very strongly that our guitars should not only look and sound good but be solidly constructed as well.
Neck & Fingerboard:
Every guitar neck has a two way metal truss rod in its core, which gives it strength as well as the option to use an Allen key to adjust the bow of the neck.
We use maple wood for the neck and rosewood for the fingerboard. Maple is known as a ‘tonewood’, or a wood that carries sound waves very well and is also ideal for guitar necks due to its rigidity.
Rosewood is a soft, smooth and naturally oilier wood, making it ideal for contact with fingers. Both woods are selected for their beneficially known properties which make guitar playing as enjoyable and comfortable as possible.
The stunning 'dove in flight' fret inlays are made from a pearloid material and hand-crafted into the rosewood fingerboard for a clean, original effect.
Nut:
This new guitar model, to maintain its traditional values, is fitted with a toughened plastic nut.
Body:
As well as an intricate internal bracing structure and ribbing on the top (soundboard) and back, the body of the guitar is bound with a white/cream strengthening purfling/binding to add stability to its shape.
This gives the guitar a very clean edge and superb styling, something you won’t see on cheaper made guitars.
We use basswood or Tilia (as it’s also known) for the top, due to its proven acoustic qualities, hence being widely incorporated in acoustic guitar production.
WHITE FINISH: Please note that although the paint finish is superb on these guitars, white is prone to showing every small mark or blemish so please be aware of this when you buy this instrument.
Headstock:
The die-cast machine heads/tuning pegs are built to a very high standard in that they are covered gear mechanisms fixed from both sides of the headstock, which means they hold the string tension and tune very well. The tuning peg consists of two main parts; the main part is screwed from the back so that the tuning pole pokes through; this is then secured with a threaded bolt, washer and nut for a very tight, reliable fixture.
